Toy Drive Raises $3,045.06 for the Mission Christmas Bureau
It's an amazing festive day for our staff at the Mission Springs Brewing Company, Mission Springs Liquor Store and City Hall Liquor Store! Our bells are jingling and we are celebrating the end of our 2014 Toy Drive. Over the past 30 days our team at the Mission Springs Brewing Company, the Mission Springs Liquor Store and City Hall Liquor Store collected funds from our visitors. By the end of our Toy Drive we raised $3,045.06!!!
I wrangled up one of our brewers Trevor Nielsen to help do "the big shop". The two of us headed to our neighbor Wal-Mart to tackle a list of items that the Mission Christmas Bureau desperately needed. With the help of Amanda in the toy department, we were able to stuff SEVEN shopping carts full of gifts for our community! Wal-Mart was super nice to include a 10% discount on our entire order, plus offered us additional mark downs on certain toys. We saved a few hundred dollars with their help! We were able to purchase 260 toys!!
I want to personally thank all the staff at the Mission Springs Brewing Company, the Mission Springs Liquor Store and City Hall Liquor Store for bringing awareness to our Toy Drive. To the patrons that passed through our liquor stores, the pub and restaurant to make a financial donation, to those who donated toys in our restaurant and to our wonderful Santa "Phil" Claus who visited the pub almost every weekend to help collect funds - THANK YOU! Because of your help there is going to be a lot of smiles and excitement for the little ones (and teens too!) this Christmas!
My heart is full of joy and it's been an amazing month! I can't say thank you enough! Next year I am going to set a target of $5,000! High fives to everyone!
